Al Nierenberg a Founder and Director of Sustainable Fords, Board member and Council Co-Chair of Mass Audubon, Advisory Board member of the Trustees of Reservations, Advisory Board member of the Appalachian Mountain Club, Chair of the Boxford Border to Boston Trail Committee, Member of Boxford’s Sustainability Committee, and Climate Reality Mentor and Leader. Al is a graduate of Haverford College and the Harvard Business School.
Brian Kissel
CUSP President and Board Chair, Representative for Stanford Alumni in Sustainability (SAS)
Brian Kissel is the president and board chair of CUSP, a director of Stanford Alumni in Sustainability, board member of ClimateDonor.org, advisory board member of Re-Volv.org, and a member of the Menlo Park Environmental Quality Commission. Brian is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Chip Spear
Vice President of CUSP And Co-chair of Yale Blue Green
Chip Spear is a vice president of CUSP, and co-chair of Yale Blue Green. He is a graduate of Yale College. He has been a long time artist and entrepreneur, building an event management company, and being a co-founder of Generation UCAN, a nutrition product that targets endurance activities. He has been active in local and state politics in both Connecticut and NY for over more than a few decades.
Jan Kublick
CUSP Board Member, Co-founder of Dartmouth Alumni for Climate Leadership (DACL)
Jan Kublick is a soon to be retired lawyer in Syracuse, New York where he practiced environmental, municipal, and real estate law, along with some litigation for 45 years. He was a member of the Special Committee that led the New York State Bar Association to create an Environmental Law Section in 1982. He has been on the Section’s Executive Committee since that time, and is currently co-chair of its Adirondack, Catskills and Natural Resources Committee. A 1974 graduate of Dartmouth, he was earlier involved with Dartmouth Alumni for Climate Action (DACA), and is a co-founder of Dartmouth Alumni for Climate Leadership (DACL). DACL is an unaffiliated alumni group working with the College leadership on climate, sustainability and energy transition issues. DACL is one of the founding members of CUSP. He is also active in several climate or environmental groups at the local and state levels.
John Stifler
CUSP Board Member, Representative for Climate-Concerned Amherst Alumni
John Stifler is a member of Climate-Concerned Amherst Alumni and Citizens Climate Lobby.. He holds a B.A. from Amherst, an M.A. from Manchester University (UK), and an M.F.A. from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst, where he taught writing in the economics department. He is a writer, editor and writing coach.
Maureen Craig
CUSP Treasurer and Board Member, Representative for University of Chicago for Climate Action
Maureen Craig is a board member and the treasurer of CUSP and a charter member of UChicago for Climate Action. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago and DePaul University College of Law.
Stuart Brown
CUSP Board Member, Representative for Washington University Climate Change Community
Stuart Brown is a member of the Washington University Climate Change Community, a group of alumni with a common interest in climate change. He was on the faculty of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at M.I.T. and founded an engineering consulting firm in the Boston area that provided technological advice to renewable energy startups in wind, solar, fusion, and battery technologies.
Sudhakar Puvvada
CUSP Board Member & Representative for MIT Alumni for Climate Action (MACA)
Sudhakar Puvvada is a co-founder of XD Sensor LLC and Dream Catcher Innovation Labs, and an advisor at Leyla and Sriya.AI. He earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from MIT and has led global R&D in consumer products, advanced materials and clean technology. A former board member of Launch Greensboro, Boundless Impact, and Innovate NC, he has also been active with MIT Alumni for Climate Action for the past two years, where he co-leads the education wing. Alongside his entrepreneurial and advisory work, Sudhakar has been a longtime mentor to startups and students helping them bridge science, technology, business, and leadership.
